Laguna Pottery by Myron Sarracino

$429.00

Today, very few artists at Laguna Pueblo continue to make traditional pottery. Laguna pottery is similar to Acoma pottery in color and design, though its patterns tend to be simpler and more bold. In the 1970s, a federally-funded program helped revive the pottery tradition, with artists creating polychrome pieces featuring red, yellow, and orange designs. While a small group of artists, including Myron Sarracino, still produce this work, Laguna pottery is now rare and highly valued.
